Troy

I look at you and see the years unfold

A loving spirit with a heart of gold

Troy, you have a kindness in your eyes

A gentle soul that takes me by surprise

You're sweet and caring in the things you do

I am so proud to share this life with you

These special times are what I treasure most

I love having you near, I love holding you close

Of all the sweet memories that I can recall

Troy, your hugs are the best of them all

My great-grandson, stepping into the light

You make the whole world feel so bright

I watch you reaching for the stars above

You've got ambition wrapped in so much love

You know exactly what you want to be

But you still take the time to sit with me

A quiet moment and a smiling face

You bring such warmth into this space

These special times are what I treasure most

I love having you near, I love holding you close

Of all the sweet memories that I can recall

Troy, your hugs are the best of them all

My great-grandson, stepping into the light

You make the whole world feel so bright

Generations apart, but our hearts beat the same

I smile every time that I hear your name

Keep chasing your dreams, keep being so sweet

You make my long journey feel so complete

These special times are what I treasure most

I love having you near, I love holding you close

Of all the sweet memories that I can recall

Troy, your hugs are the best of them all

My great-grandson, stepping into the light

I will hold onto these special times tonight
