Valerie

Looking back on the days of my youth

Gathered with family, learning the truth

A table of laughter, a circle of care

I knew that the spirit was moving right there

Now I look in the mirror and what do I see?

The breath of the Maker breathing in me.

Oh, Valerie, you are formed in the light

Made in His image, precious and bright

Walking this earth with a purpose to claim

Loved by the One who has called out your name

Let the truth settle deep in your soul from above

You are worthy, you're chosen, you're worthy of love.

The chapters unfolded, the journey grew wide

With the grace of the Lord as my strength and my guide

Then I held my own children, a breath of new life

Through the joy and the tears, through the calm and the strife

Bringing them into this world by His grace

And seeing the reflection of God in their face.

Oh, Valerie, you are formed in the light

Made in His image, precious and bright

Walking this earth with a purpose to claim

Loved by the One who has called out your name

Let the truth settle deep in your soul from above

You are worthy, you're chosen, you're worthy of love.

When the shadows fall heavy and doubt tries to creep

I remember the promises planted so deep

I am not an accident, I am a plan

Held safely and sure in a heavenly hand

I step out in faith and I lift up my voice

I am worthy and loved, let my spirit rejoice!

Oh, Valerie, you are formed in the light

Made in His image, precious and bright

Walking this earth with a purpose to claim

Loved by the One who has called out your name

Yes, the truth settles deep in my soul from above

I am worthy, I'm chosen, I'm worthy of love

Oh, I am worthy, I'm chosen, I'm worthy of love!
