Mason

Thirty years ago, a faithful prayer came true

Jehovah gave a baby boy, and I was holding you

Mason, you have been a light right from the start

With a happy, humble spirit and a forgiving heart

You've always shown me respect, through the highs and the lows

With an unconditional love that just continues to grow

So keep your head held high, my son

Satan might whisper that his victory is won

He thinks he took your freedom, but he doesn't hold the sword

Because the battle, Mason, belongs to the Lord

Trust only in Jehovah, let faith be your defense

Look to the heavens for your deliverance

You are so supportive, a comfort to my soul

Even when the trials come and take a heavy toll

I know the walls feel close and the shadows seem so tall

But the Maker of the universe is watching through it all

He sees your quiet strength, He knows the truth inside

So don't you let the darkness take away your stride

So keep your head held high, my son

Satan might whisper that his victory is won

He thinks he took your freedom, but he doesn't hold the sword

Because the battle, Mason, belongs to the Lord

Trust only in Jehovah, let faith be your defense

Look to the heavens for your deliverance

The enemy is a liar, his chains will turn to dust

Jehovah is the only one where we can put our trust

Your freedom is a promise that the shadows cannot steal

The love of God is mighty, and His victory is real

So keep your head held high, my son

Satan might whisper that his victory is won

He thinks he took your freedom, but he doesn't hold the sword

Because the battle, Mason, belongs to the Lord

Trust only in Jehovah, let faith be your defense

Look to the heavens for your deliverance

Yes, the battle is Jehovah's, so keep your head held high
