Jasmine

I was working the counter, pouring the brew

You walked through the doors, just passing through

A regular shift at the Dunkin' line

But handing you coffee sparked something divine

We started to talk over sugar and glaze

Now you're my best friend through the rest of my days

From a customer's smile to the greatest of friends

This is a story that I hope never ends

Oh, Jasmine, you shine in the rush of the day

Working so hard, chasing shadows away

Putting your kids at the front of the line

But when we get together, we're stopping the time

Yeah, every time we hang out, it’s a spark in the dark

You’re a beautiful soul with a beautiful heart

I see how you hustle, I see how you care

Whenever they need you, you're already there

A mother who gives every piece of her soul

Making sure that her babies are happy and whole

But even with all of the weight that you hold

You bring out the laughter, you turn it to gold

We let down our hair and we just get to be

The perfect escape for just you and me

Oh, Jasmine, you shine in the rush of the day

Working so hard, chasing shadows away

Putting your kids at the front of the line

But when we get together, we're stopping the time

Yeah, every time we hang out, it’s a spark in the dark

You’re a beautiful soul with a beautiful heart

From the donuts and coffee to weekends of fun

You're a ray of the brightest, most beautiful sun

Every second is special, every moment is bright

When I'm hanging with you, yeah, the world is just right

Take a breath, take a break, let me sing it for you

'Cause nobody does it the way that you do

Oh, Jasmine, you shine in the rush of the day

Working so hard, chasing shadows away

Putting your kids at the front of the line

But when we get together, we're stopping the time

Yeah, every time we hang out, it’s a spark in the dark

You’re a beautiful soul with a beautiful heart

Yeah, from Dunkin' to now, it was clear from the start!
