Peter

Out here where the branches reach the sun

We lift our voices up to God as one

The wind is blowing softly through the leaves

And I feel so safe when you are next to me

Peter, when you hold my hand in prayer

I feel the Holy Spirit in the air

Peter, you're the shelter that I run to

Protective and loving, steady and true

I thank the Lord for the hard work you do

And the grace of heaven that shines right through

With God as our witness, steadfast and sure

I will be faithful forever, I am forever yours

I watch the way you give your very all

Standing so strong to catch me if I fall

Your hands are tired, but they are always kind

The sweetest reflection of the Maker's mind

Here in the quiet of the great outdoors

I praise Him for a loving heart like yours

Peter, you're the shelter that I run to

Protective and loving, steady and true

I thank the Lord for the hard work you do

And the grace of heaven that shines right through

With God as our witness, steadfast and sure

I will be faithful forever, I am forever yours

Through every season, underneath the sun

He took our separate paths and made them one

When we sing our worship out here in the wild

I see His love reflected in your smile

Peter, you're the shelter that I run to

Protective and loving, steady and true

I thank the Lord for the hard work you do

And the grace of heaven that shines right through

With God as our witness, steadfast and sure

I will be faithful forever, I am forever yours
