I look back on the church where we used to go

Me and my three sisters, sitting in a row

Raised up by the hands of a mother and a dad

Who taught us how to pray through the good and the bad

That Christian home is where the seed was sown

The deepest kind of faith that I have ever known

And I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me

He is the joy in my heart and the light that people see

When I’m laughing out loud and making someone smile

It’s His love pouring out, walking with them for a while

I’m just a vessel for the grace He provides

He’s the strength behind my smile, my comfort and my guide

I was twenty-one years old back in ninety-four

When I married my high school sweetheart, making vows before the Lord

We built a life together on the solid rock of faith

Trusting in His goodness and resting in His grace

Through every passing season, the laughter always stays

Because the Maker of the heavens is the anchor of my days

And I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me

I love to make a stranger feel right at home

To talk to the heavy-hearted so they don't feel alone

This outgoing spirit wasn't given just for me

It’s a reflection of the Savior that I want the world to see

Every word of comfort, every happy tear I shed

Is rooted in the promises of everything He said
