Elijah

I remember the room on the day you were born

Like an angel sent down on a quiet morn

Heaven reached out and it gave you to me

The sweetest young soul I will ever see

From that very first breath to the moments we share

I look at your life as an answered prayer

Elijah, you are wonderfully, beautifully made

A light in this world that will never fade

With a heart of gold and a spirit so bright

You are a testament to heaven's pure light

My sweet grandson, my beautiful boy

You fill my days with an endless joy

We walk to the park underneath the tall trees

You’re fearless and smart, running wild in the breeze

We play all our games till the sun starts to sink

I'm watching you grow faster than I can think

Then we cuddle up close when the day is all done

I thank the good Lord for my sweet grandson

Elijah, you are wonderfully, beautifully made

A light in this world that will never fade

With a heart of gold and a spirit so bright

You are a testament to heaven's pure light

My sweet grandson, my beautiful boy

You fill my days with an endless joy

You’re such a good friend, so giving and kind

A more loving spirit is so hard to find

Keep walking in faith, keep shining your spark

You carry a miracle inside of your heart

Oh, Elijah, you are wonderfully, beautifully made

A light in this world that will never fade

With a heart of gold and a spirit so bright

You are a testament to heaven's pure light

My sweet grandson, my beautiful boy

You are wonderfully made, my endless joy
