Through the Strength He Gives
Written for Kiara · FreeCustomSong OriginalI look at you, Kiara, and I bow my head to pray
Thanking God for every moment, every single day
You have a heart so loving, a spirit shining bright
Your sense of humor brings me joy and fills the room with light
From the day that you were born, you've been a precious gift
A daughter who can take my soul and give it such a lift
ChorusHold onto the promise
That is faithful and true
The Lord will walk beside you
In everything you do
When the mountains rise ahead
Just lift your hands and say
"I can do all things through Christ
Who strengthens me today"
Verse 2You speak with such a wisdom that is far beyond your years
And when you sing, your beautiful voice melts away my fears
You lift a song to heaven, a melody of grace
I see the love of Jesus reflecting in your face
Every memory we share is a treasure in my mind
A sweeter child than you, my dear, I know I'd never find
ChorusHold onto the promise
That is faithful and true
The Lord will walk beside you
In everything you do
When the mountains rise ahead
Just lift your hands and say
"I can do all things through Christ
Who strengthens me today"
BridgeThrough every passing season, He is standing by your side
Let His holy word be your comfort and your guide
My sweet daughter, Kiara, keep holding to the truth
Let His spirit be the anchor for the beauty of your youth
No matter where you wander, no matter where you go
His love is always with you, and I want your heart to know
Final ChorusHold onto the promise
That is faithful and true
The Lord will walk beside you
In everything you do
When the mountains rise ahead
Just lift your hands and pray
"I can do all things through Christ
Who strengthens me today"
Yes, I can do all things through Christ
Who strengthens me today
