Devin

I remember the days when you were just small

Now I'm looking up to see you stand tall

The years slipped away like a fast-moving train

Through the sunshine, the seasons, the wind, and the rain

I’ve had a front-row seat to the life you've begun

Watching my grandson step into the sun

Oh, Devin, I am so proud of you

Of the hard-working man that you've turned into

You roll up your sleeves and you give it your all

You're ready and steady whenever life calls

It’s a beautiful thing to see where you stand

I’m so proud of this hard-working young man

You always know how to make people smile

With a quick-witted joke and your own kind of style

When someone is doubting, you’re quick to step in

Encouraging others and helping them win

You know what you want and you stand to the test

Assertive and driven, you give it your best

Oh, Devin, I am so proud of you

Of the hard-working man that you've turned into

You roll up your sleeves and you give it your all

You're ready and steady whenever life calls

It’s a beautiful thing to see where you stand

I’m so proud of this hard-working young man

It takes a good heart to be gentle and kind

And a whole lot of grit just to make up your mind

You carry them both as you forge your own way

And I'm counting my blessings to watch you today

Oh, Devin, I am so proud of you

Of the hard-working man that you've turned into

You roll up your sleeves and you give it your all

You're ready and steady whenever life calls

It’s a beautiful thing to see where you stand

I’m so proud of this hard-working young man

Yes, I'm so proud of this hard-working young man
