Danny

With a hammer in your hand and a willing heart,

You are always stepping up just to do your part.

Building up a life, carrying the load,

Walking step by step on a righteous road.

You are wise and caring, generous and true,

I see the grace of Heaven shining down on you.

Oh, Dan the fisherman, you are God's own plan,

Giving everything you have for the sake of our clan.

Lord, hold him tight in your ever-loving hand,

Keep your watch over Dan the fisherman.

Out upon the water, casting out the line,

I thank the Lord above that a boy like you is mine.

Serving God with joy in the seeds you sow,

Helping out a brother when the tides are low.

You're the best son ever, with a soul so bright,

Always working hard in the Father's sight.

Oh, Dan the fisherman, you are God's own plan,

Giving everything you have for the sake of our clan.

Lord, hold him tight in your ever-loving hand,

Keep your watch over Dan the fisherman.

Every nail you drive, every fish you catch,

Your loving dedication simply has no match.

You give all your strength until the day is done,

I am so incredibly proud to call you my son.

Oh, Dan the fisherman, you are God's own plan,

Giving everything you have for the sake of our clan.

Lord, hold him tight in your ever-loving hand,

Keep your watch over Dan the fisherman.

Yes, hold him tight in your ever-loving hand,

My son, Dan the fisherman.
