SADIE

Eleven years old, with a spirit so bright

You fill up my days with a heavenly light

You're loving and caring, so gentle and kind

The sweetest young heart that a person could find

I look at you now and I lift up my hands

Thanking the Lord for His beautiful plans

Oh, Sadie, I'm thankful that God gave us you

He guided our paths and He carried us through

You were chosen by heaven to light up my world

I am so happy that you are my girl

I will love you forever, my sweet Sadie

I praise Him for all that He made you to be

We sit close together and talk about Jesus

Sharing the warmth of the grace that He gives us

We bow down our heads and we whisper a prayer

I feel heaven's blessing whenever you're there

Then we pull out the pieces to play a fun game

And I praise the Creator who gave me your name

Oh, Sadie, I'm thankful that God gave us you

He guided our paths and He carried us through

You were chosen by heaven to light up my world

I am so happy that you are my girl

I will love you forever, my sweet Sadie

I praise Him for all that He made you to be

You didn't just happen, you were part of His plan

Held in the palm of the Maker's own hand

Adopted in love, you were meant for this place

A beautiful picture of mercy and grace

I cherish your sweet heart, so pure and so true

I see the reflection of Jesus in you

Oh, Sadie, I'm thankful that God gave us you

He guided our paths and He carried us through

You were chosen by heaven to light up my world

I am so happy that you are my girl

I will love you forever, my sweet Sadie

Yes, I'll praise Him forever that you are my girl
