Amy

I still remember the day you arrived

My very firstborn, bringing light to my life

Now the years have gone by, and the seasons have turned

And I lean on the lessons of love you have learned

Whenever I need you, you answer the call

You're right by my side anytime that I fall

You give and you give to everyone else

Taking care of the world before you think of yourself

I know it's been heavy, I know it's been hard

But you've got a fighter inside of your heart

Even when you're struggling, you keep standing tall

Oh Amy, you've got a heart that holds it all

I know that lately the water's been deep

And sometimes the mountains are rocky and steep

But you never give up and you never give in

You carry the weight for your friends and your kin

You do so much for the people around

You're the sturdiest anchor that I've ever found

You give and you give to everyone else

Taking care of the world before you think of yourself

I know it's been heavy, I know it's been hard

But you've got a fighter inside of your heart

Even when you're struggling, you keep standing tall

Oh Amy, you've got a heart that holds it all

And when you look at your grandkids, I see how you glow

Watching them blossom and watching them grow

I see all the pride shining clear in your face

Wrapping them up in a loving embrace

They are your joy, your beautiful legacy

And Amy, you mean the whole world to me

You give and you give to everyone else

Taking care of the world before you think of yourself

I know it's been heavy, I know it's been hard

But you've got a fighter inside of your heart

Even when you're struggling, you keep standing tall

Oh Amy, you've got a heart that holds it all

Yeah Amy, you've got a heart that holds it all
