Joseph

Out on the oil rig, working through the night

You carried the heavy load to make our futures bright

Hands worn from the labor, but your heart was pure gold

The most passionate spirit that a body could hold

Everything you did was for the family's sake

Joseph, my brother, you gave all you could make

I love you so much, you made me so proud

I'm singing your name through the tears and the clouds

You were my hero in every single way

And I'm gonna miss you every second of the day

Yeah, every second of every single day

You never backed down when the weather got rough

For the people you loved, you were more than enough

A loving provider from the dusk till the dawn

Your strength is the reason we can try to move on

I looked up to you then, and I look up to you now

I'll carry your memory, I'm making a vow

I love you so much, you made me so proud

I'm singing your name through the tears and the clouds

You were my hero in every single way

And I'm gonna miss you every second of the day

Yeah, every second of every single day

The steel of the rig couldn't match your deep soul

Keeping us safe was your beautiful goal

Now the tears might fall, but my spirit is lifted

'Cause having you here means my whole life was gifted

My brother, my guide, my anchor in the tide

I love you so much, you made me so proud

I'm singing your name through the tears and the clouds

You were my hero in every single way

And I'm gonna miss you every second of the day

Joseph, my hero, every second of the day

I'll miss you every second of every single day
