Joseph

I watch you wake up with a smile on your face

Taking on the world with your own kind of grace

Joseph, you've got this bright light in your eyes

No matter how heavy the clouds in the skies

You look at a challenge as just a new bend

With a patient heart that just won't end

You give it a hundred percent every time

You don't just walk up the mountain, you climb

You face down the hard things and push through the dark

With a tenacious spirit and a loving heart

Oh, Joseph, I'm watching the man you've become

And you are my inspiration, son

When the road gets tough and the answers are few

I see the quiet strength rising in you

You never back down from the work to be done

You just keep on pushing until it is won

You find a way forward when walls are too high

With a happy resolve and a clear, steady eye

You give it a hundred percent every time

You don't just walk up the mountain, you climb

You face down the hard things and push through the dark

With a tenacious spirit and a loving heart

Oh, Joseph, I'm watching the man you've become

And you are my inspiration, son

So whenever you're tired and feeling the weight

Remember the words of the promise of faith

Be strong and courageous, don't carry the fear

The Lord is beside you, His presence is near

Wherever you wander, whatever you face

He's guiding your steps and providing the grace

And you give it a hundred percent every time

You don't just walk up the mountain, you climb

You face down the hard things and push through the dark

With a tenacious spirit and a loving heart

Oh, Joseph, I'm proud of the man you've become

Forever my inspiration, my son
