Ninety-two years on a journey of grace

Raising four children with a smile on your face

We might not have had much silver or gold

But the love of our mother is a treasure to hold

Washing and ironing, working so hard

Doing a marvelous job with the help of the Lord

Three meals on the table, a roof overhead

By the strength of our God, we were sheltered and fed

To not ever worry, just trust in the Lord

Grateful, thankful, and blessed all your days

Even when we grew older, you wouldn't slow down

The most patient and beautiful mother around

You showed us compassion, you showed us respect

With a shield of deep faith that would always protect

When times got heavy and the shadows would cling

You reminded us gently that prayer changes things

It hasn't been perfect, there were mountains to climb

But you kept on believing, one step at a time
