Walden

You were my handsome boy with a tender soul

Playing the tough guy, but truth be told

A little scaredy cat when the shadows grew

But you were protective, so sweet and true

I look at the empty space where you used to be

And I miss how you always worked right next to me

Oh, Walden, you’ll always be in our hearts

I miss you so much now that we're apart

I miss our routine, every single day

Working together, making our way

Wherever we were, whatever I'd do

My favorite part was doing it with you

Out on the boat, just catching the breeze

Camping out quiet, under the trees

Running out shopping, you were down for the ride

With your loyal and caring heart by my side

We'd go visit Larry and Tina for a while

Just seeing you happy would bring me a smile

Oh, Walden, you’ll always be in our hearts

I miss you so much now that we're apart

I miss our routine, every single day

Working together, making our way

Wherever we were, whatever I'd do

My favorite part was doing it with you

But the most special moments, the best that we had

Were visiting Grandma and Grandpa, making them glad

You brought so much love every time you walked in

I’d give anything to hold my sweet boy again

Oh, Walden, you’ll always be in our hearts

I miss you so much now that we're apart

I miss our routine, every single day

Working together, making our way

Wherever we were, whatever I'd do

My favorite part was doing it with you

Yeah, you'll always be right next to me
