Erika

The moment you came, all the shadows departed

My firstborn daughter, a gift from above

So beautifully true and so pure and wholehearted

You showed me the meaning of heavenly love

Erika, you are the light of my days

I lift up your name in my worship and praise

You are always right here in my heart

In my thoughts and my prayers every day

Even when we are walking apart

I am asking the Savior to show you the way

You’re the beautiful child I adore

And only the Lord loves you more

There is so much sincerity deep in your spirit

A genuine soul that is steady and kind

When you speak your truth, everybody can hear it

You leave all the pretense and shadows behind

Erika, keep shining exactly as you are

My brightest blessing, my morning star

You are always right here in my heart

In my thoughts and my prayers every day

Even when we are walking apart

I am asking the Savior to show you the way

You’re the beautiful child I adore

And only the Lord loves you more

I lift up my hands and I pray for your journey

I ask Him to cover you under His wings

No matter the valley, no matter the worry

Just trust in the peace that His promises bring

My love is a river, my love is so deep

A promise that Heaven and I’m gonna keep

Oh, you are always right here in my heart

In my thoughts and my prayers every day

Even when we are walking apart

I am asking the Savior to show you the way

Erika, you’re the one I adore

And only the Lord loves you more

Yes, only the Lord loves you more
