Susan

You carry the weight of the room with a smile

Going the distance, walking the extra mile

Whenever somebody is falling apart

You’re right at the center, sharing your heart

Susan, you never ask for a prize

Just bringing the light to everyone's eyes

Oh, you’re always there for everyone

Like a steady ray of the morning sun

A wonderful family, a true best friend

A beautiful love that never ends

Susan, I’m lifting you up today

For chasing all the shadows away

I think of the days when my body was weak

When I was so tired I barely could speak

I was so sick, couldn't get out of bed

But you brought the comfort, you rested my head

You sat by my side and you held onto me

You were the healing that I needed to see

Oh, you’re always there for everyone

Like a steady ray of the morning sun

A wonderful family, a true best friend

A beautiful love that never ends

Susan, I’m lifting you up today

For chasing all the shadows away

Your wonderful family knows it’s true

There is nobody else with a spirit like you

A true best friend through the thick and the thin

No matter the battle, you help us to win

Yeah, you are the rock, you are the light

You make the heavy days feel bright

'Cause you’re always there for everyone

Like a steady ray of the morning sun

A wonderful family, a true best friend

A beautiful love that never ends

Susan, I’m lifting you up today

Thank you for being there, in every way

Yeah, thank you for being there, in every way
