Mike

I wasn't looking for a miracle that night

Just a crowded bar and a neon light

But heaven had a plan I couldn't see

When it brought you right across the room to me

In nineteen eighty-eight, we said "I do"

And started on this sacred journey, me and you

Oh, Mike, you are the steady ground beneath my feet

So caring and kind, you make this life complete

With a loving heart and a brilliant, quiet mind

A more devoted husband, I could never find

I raise my hands and thank the Lord above

For the daily gift of your faithful love

We’ve weathered every storm that came our way

And held each other when the skies were gray

Through all the many things that we’ve been through

My greatest comfort always was in you

Your steady devotion is a guiding light

Leading our family through the darkest night

Oh, Mike, you are the steady ground beneath my feet

So caring and kind, you make this life complete

With a loving heart and a brilliant, quiet mind

A more devoted husband, I could never find

I raise my hands and thank the Lord above

For the daily gift of your faithful love

I want to pause and just appreciate

The beautiful life we’ve built since eighty-eight

My promise to you remains as strong and true

As the endless grace that brought me straight to you

Through every season, I will stand by your side

With you as my partner, and faith as our guide

Oh, Mike, you are the steady ground beneath my feet

So caring and kind, you make this life complete

With a loving heart and a brilliant, quiet mind

A more devoted husband, I could never find

I raise my hands and thank the Lord above

For the daily gift of your faithful love

Yes, I thank the Lord for the promise that we made

My faithful love for you will never fade
