Antoine

Lord, I thank You for the joy You placed into my life

He carries heaven's sunshine through the trouble and the strife

Antoine is my comfort laughter, shining like a light

He puts a smile on every face and makes the shadows bright

If he has a thing to give, he opens up his hands

A generous and loving soul, exactly as God planned

Oh, I raise my hands to heaven, I am grateful for my son

For every unexpected, selfless thing that he has done

You're my greatest blessing, Antoine, sent from up above

I just want to thank the Lord and cover you in love

Yes, you're my greatest blessing, sent from up above

I never know exactly when the next surprise will be

But suddenly his loving heart is pouring out on me

It might be breakfast in the morning, right beside my bed

Or walking through the doorway with a dozen roses, red

He hands me money with a smile, says, "Ma, buy what you want"

I thank the Lord for every single thing my son has done

Oh, I raise my hands to heaven, I am grateful for my son

For every unexpected, selfless thing that he has done

You're my greatest blessing, Antoine, sent from up above

I just want to thank the Lord and cover you in love

Yes, you're my greatest blessing, sent from up above

For every single time you call to check upon my day

For every little visit when you go out of your way

Doing things I least expect, you fill my soul with peace

My gratitude for who you are is never gonna cease

Hallelujah for the child who gives without a thought

Living out the holy grace that heaven's mercy brought

So I offer up this prayer for the man that you have grown

The sweetest kind of comfort that my spirit's ever known

May the Lord return the favor, multiply your days

For the laughter and the smiles you bring in endless ways

Antoine, I am so proud of you, and I just need to say

God gave me a miracle when He sent you my way

Oh, I raise my hands to heaven, I am grateful for my son

For every unexpected, selfless thing that he has done

You're my greatest blessing, Antoine, sent from up above

I just want to thank the Lord and cover you in love

Yes, you're my greatest blessing, my joy and my reward

Antoine, I will love you forever, praising the Lord!
