Edna

I look back on the story of my life

And the greatest gift I've ever known

Is a thoughtful heart, a guiding light

A steady place to call my home

I count my blessings, Edna, every day

For the grace that I can clearly see

I fold my hands and I softly pray

Thanking God for the day He chose you for me

My beautiful Mama, I want you to know

Wherever I wander, wherever I go

Your unconditional love is the spark

I love you to the moon and back with all of my heart

You're caring and gentle, a light I can see

I'm so glad for the day that God chose you for me

Even through everything, the laughter and tears

You loved me without any limits or bounds

You stood by my side and you quieted fears

Your comforting presence is what keeps me sound

You're always so caring, you're always so kind

You give me a strength that is solid and true

I search the whole world, but I know I won't find

A mother who loves me the way that you do

My beautiful Mama, I want you to know

Wherever I wander, wherever I go

Your unconditional love is the spark

I love you to the moon and back with all of my heart

You're caring and gentle, a light I can see

I'm so glad for the day that God chose you for me

Unconditional, that is your way

You bring the sunshine into the gray

Tender and patient, right from the start

You hold a permanent place in my heart

My beautiful Mama, I want you to know

Wherever I wander, wherever I go

Your unconditional love is the spark

I love you to the moon and back with all of my heart

You're caring and thoughtful, a light I can see

I'm so glad for the day that God chose you for me

My beautiful Mama, forever it's true

I thank God for the day that He chose you
