Dorothy

Down at the bowling alley, laughing at the score

Talking through the evening till we walk right out the door

You always have a funny joke to chase the dark away

Bringing out the positive in every single day

You're the one I lean on when the world starts spinning round

The most dependable mother that could ever be found

Oh, Dorothy, you’re beautiful, you’re caring and you're strong

You’re the harmony I’m singing in my favorite country song

I appreciate you, Mama, more than words could ever show

You’re my hero, and I love you more than you will ever know

Spinning round the living room while the radio plays

Dancing and just singing through the best of our days

You’ve always been the wise one to help me stand up tall

With an encouraging whisper whenever I might fall

From the hours spent just talking to the moments that we share

I look at you and see a heart that's always helpful there

Oh, Dorothy, you’re beautiful, you’re caring and you're strong

You’re the harmony I’m singing in my favorite country song

I appreciate you, Mama, more than words could ever show

You’re my hero, and I love you more than you will ever know

Through every twist and turn of life, you’re steady as a rock

Always there to listen when I just need to talk

Your loving light has guided me wherever I might roam

In your arms and in your smile, I always feel at home

Oh, Dorothy, you’re beautiful, you’re caring and you're strong

You’re the harmony I’m singing in my favorite country song

I appreciate you, Mama, more than words could ever show

You’re my hero, and I love you more than you will ever know

Yeah, you're my hero, and I love you more than you will ever know
