Jessica

Fate stepped in and brought you out of the blue

I didn't know it then, but my whole world was you

I still smile 'bout the first night we stayed together

You had a few too many, but it made me love you better

I held you close until the morning light

And knew right then that everything was right

Oh, Jessica, you're beautiful and smart

You've got a loving and a caring heart

I miss you tonight, and I love you so deep

You're the one promise I'm going to keep

Chasing the sunsets, just you and me

Building the roots of our little family

We've spent hours riding down those old back roads

Where the pavement ends and the sweet wind blows

Watching the sun sink low in the west

Out of all my days, the ones with you are best

With your hand in mine as the engine hums

I'm looking forward to all the years to come

Oh, Jessica, you're beautiful and smart

You've got a loving and a caring heart

I miss you tonight, and I love you so deep

You're the one promise I'm going to keep

Chasing the sunsets, just you and me

Building the roots of our little family

Down in Louisiana, with our friends all around

I pulled out a ring and I knelt on the ground

You said forever, and the tears started falling

That's the sweet moment my heart keeps recalling

Now you're my fiancé, and I'm a lucky man

Walking this world with you hand in hand

No matter the miles or the days we're apart

You're always right here at the center of my heart

Fate knew exactly what it was doing that day

When it sent my sweet Jessica my way

Oh, Jessica, you're beautiful and smart

You've got a loving and a caring heart

I miss you tonight, and I love you so deep

You're the one promise I'm going to keep

Chasing the sunsets, just you and me

Thank God for you and our little family
