Rasheida

Thinking back to when we were traveling as kids

All the funny little things that we always did

Sitting in the bleachers at the basketball games

Laughing at the cookouts, calling out names

You always had a joke and a spirit so bright

Outgoing and joyful, you carry the light

From the very beginning, my sister, my friend

I know I can count on you right to the end

Oh, Rasheida, you are loved and cherished

A giving, loving heart that will never perish

Family is your anchor, and your faith is so true

Keep on believing, He is walking with you

Keep moving forward, don't you be afraid

God’s got you covered in the promises He made

Whenever you need them, whenever you call

Our heavenly angels are watching it all

Every birthday gathering, every holiday cheer

You bring us together, year after year

Dependable and strong, a God-fearing soul

Your love is the glue keeping this family whole

You give and you give, never asking for praise

Lifting our spirits through the hardest of days

I just want to tell you I love you so much

I'm blessed by your presence and your comforting touch

Oh, Rasheida, you are loved and cherished

A giving, loving heart that will never perish

Family is your anchor, and your faith is so true

Keep on believing, He is walking with you

Keep moving forward, don't you be afraid

God’s got you covered in the promises He made

Whenever you need them, whenever you call

Our heavenly angels are watching it all

Keep your faith steady, keep your eyes on the sky

Hold onto His word as the seasons go by

The road might be long, but you're never alone

You've got a choir of angels to carry you home

Yes, the Lord is your shepherd, your rock, and your shield

By His holy grace, every blessing's revealed

So Rasheida, know you are loved and cherished

A giving, loving heart that will never perish

Family is your anchor, and your faith is so true

Keep on believing, He is walking with you

Keep moving forward, don't you be afraid

God’s got you covered in the promises He made

Whenever you need them, whenever you call

God and our heavenly angels got it all
