Katelyn

Katelyn, you have the most amazing smile

I'd walk through the dark just to see it awhile

You're beautiful outside, but deeper within

Is where all your loving and kindness begin

You give with your whole heart in all that you do

I'm constantly amazed by the spirit in you

You are a child of God, held in His grace

Leaving a piece of your love in every place

No matter the years, or the turns in the world

Katelyn, you will always be my little girl

Yeah, you will always be my little girl

I used to just hold you and teach you to stand

Now we walk side by side, reaching out for your hand

I love that I'm not just a mom to you now

We're genuine friends, and I'm thankful for how

We share every story, we talk through the day

I cherish the bond that we've built round the way

You are a child of God, held in His grace

Leaving a piece of your love in every place

No matter the years, or the turns in the world

Katelyn, you will always be my little girl

Yeah, you will always be my little girl

You pour out your soul and you give to this life

A beacon of comfort through trouble and strife

So keep shining bright, let your faith be your guide

I'll always be standing right here by your side

Because you are a child of God, held in His grace

Leaving a piece of your love in every place

No matter the years, or the turns in the world

Katelyn, you will always be my little girl

My beautiful friend, my joy in this world

Katelyn, you will always be my little girl
