Mom

I can still see you decorating the Christmas tree

Reading stories out loud to my brother and me

Making candy and cookies, riding bikes down the street

With a giving heart that made our childhood complete

We’d sit and watch preachers on the TV screen

You showed me what trusting in Jesus really means

Thank you for everything you've done for me

You're the most amazing mom that you could ever be

With your beautiful smile and your joyful heart

I'm so blessed to have you, we'll never be apart

I will always love you, Mom, as the years go flying by

And I'll always be right here for you, on that you can rely

We took those trips to Indiana, just you and me

From Santa Claus Land down to the Florida sea

Floating down the lazy river, getting fake tattoos

Sipping on margaritas with those ocean views

We went parasailing high and explored the caves below

Every shopping trip and dinner out, laughing everywhere we'd go

Thank you for everything you've done for me

You're the most amazing mom that you could ever be

With your beautiful smile and your joyful heart

I'm so blessed to have you, we'll never be apart

I will always love you, Mom, as the years go flying by

And I'll always be right here for you, on that you can rely

From eating at Lambert’s Cafe to the Saint Martin sand

Spotting a guy who looked like Jesus walking through the land

Vacations with Rudy, Brady, Wesley, and Frieda too

Playing croquet and board games, spending hours with you

You're always encouraging others, sharing all you have to give

You taught me how to pray, and you taught me how to live

Thank you for everything you've done for me

You're the most amazing mom that you could ever be

With your beautiful smile and your joyful heart

I'm so blessed to have you, we'll never be apart

I will always love you, Mom, as the years go flying by

And I'll always be right here for you, on that you can rely
