Charlie

Charlie, I look at this life that we've made

Through sunshine and shadows, you've never once swayed

You're the man that I lean on when things get too heavy

My wonderful husband, so quiet and steady

You've always been there, right by my side

Through the turns of the road and the shifting tide.

I want you to know just how loved that you are

Like the night that we laid underneath the stars

Just watching the sky while you're holding my hand

The kind of forever we both understand

Oh Charlie, my heart is so easy to read

You give me the love that I'll always need.

The years keep on turning, the seasons fly past

But I knew from the start that this feeling would last

When I'm weary and tired, you carry the weight

You're my shelter from storms when the hour gets late

It's the simple devotion you show every day

That chases my worries and troubles away.

I want you to know just how loved that you are

Like the night that we laid underneath the stars

Just watching the sky while you're holding my hand

The kind of forever we both understand

Oh Charlie, my heart is so easy to read

You give me the love that I'll always need.

If I don't say it often, I'm saying it now

I'm still so in love with our everyday vow

I want you to feel it deep down in your soul

Charlie, your presence is what makes me whole.

I want you to know just how loved that you are

Like the night that we laid underneath the stars

Just watching the sky while you're holding my hand

The kind of forever we both understand

Oh Charlie, my heart is so easy to read

You give me the love that I'll always need

Yeah, you've always been there for me.
