Rowena

We've walked through the fire, we've weathered the rain

Shared so many trials, and carried the pain

But whenever the heavy clouds gather around

You're the most patient friend that I've ever found

You sit and you listen, you lighten the mood

With a laugh and a joke when the world comes unglued

Oh Rowena, you shine in the dark places

Bringing His peace to the weariest faces

You took the call to your heart from above

"Comfort ye my people" with unending love

You're a beacon of hope when the shadows are gray

Guiding so many along on the way

We've traveled a road that is so much the same

Holding onto our faith and praising His name

You stand like a shield when the worries are near

Protective and strong, you quiet the fear

You speak words of courage when spirits are low

Reflecting the Lord everywhere that you go

Oh Rowena, you shine in the dark places

Bringing His peace to the weariest faces

You took the call to your heart from above

"Comfort ye my people" with unending love

You're a beacon of hope when the shadows are gray

Guiding so many along on the way

God gave you a purpose, you answered the voice

To lift up the broken and help them rejoice

You don't turn away when the journey gets steep

You pour out a grace that runs heavy and deep

Oh Rowena, you shine in the dark places

Bringing His peace to the weariest faces

You took the call to your heart from above

"Comfort ye my people" with unending love

You're a beacon of hope when the shadows are gray

Guiding so many along on the way
