Tommie and Frank

I still remember back in ninety-two

My brother smiled and introduced me to you

In Angleton, Texas, I fell from the start

I saw the deep care in your beautiful heart

I knew right away, it was tender and true

That God in His mercy had led me to you

For thirty-three years we've been walking by faith

Covered in mercy, sustained by His grace

Through every shadow and every spark

What God put together, let no man tear apart

Tommie and Frank, held in His hand

Guided by Heaven, just like He planned

Look at the family that grew from our love

Every good blessing came down from above

Five beautiful children who carry our light

Eight beautiful grandkids making everything bright

Still loving and passionate, year after year

With the Lord as our center, there is nothing to fear

For thirty-three years we've been walking by faith

Covered in mercy, sustained by His grace

Through every shadow and every spark

What God put together, let no man tear apart

Tommie and Frank, held in His hand

Guided by Heaven, just like He planned

We’ve faced down the trials, we’ve felt the heartache

But we serve a Savior who does not forsake

When the waters rose high and the valleys were deep

His promise is one that He always will keep

He never left us, He never withdrew

He held onto me while He held onto you

For thirty-three years we've been walking by faith

Covered in mercy, sustained by His grace

Through every shadow and every spark

What God put together, let no man tear apart

Tommie and Frank, held in His hand

Guided by Heaven, just like He planned

Yes, what God put together, let no man tear apart
