Richard

Do you remember the frozen yogurt

The sweet surprise when you asked for my hand?

I looked into those beautiful blue eyes

And knew right then you were a steady man

We'd take the car and just start rolling

Taking those long drives to nowhere at all

With your protective arms around me

I knew you'd catch me if I ever fall

Oh Richard, you're the rock that God blessed me with

You drive me crazy, but you healed my soul

You are my heart, you are my safe place

You took the broken parts and made them whole

I love you to infinity and back again

My hard-working husband, my very best friend

We'd walk the streets just window shopping

Looking at things that we didn't need to buy

Just laughing loud and experiencing life

Underneath a wide open sky

You're so smart, you've got a brilliant mind

But you still know how to joke and play

Your faith in God keeps us grounded

And your strength carries me through the day

Oh Richard, you're the rock that God blessed me with

You drive me crazy, but you healed my soul

You are my heart, you are my safe place

You took the broken parts and made them whole

I love you to infinity and back again

My hard-working husband, my very best friend

I could try to write it out in a letter

But words could never hold what I feel inside

Through every twist and turn of the journey

I just want you sitting right by my side

Yeah, you support me through the thick and the thin

With you, my love, I'm always gonna win

Oh Richard, you're the rock that God blessed me with

You drive me crazy, but you healed my soul

You are my heart, you are my safe place

You took the broken parts and made them whole

I love you to infinity and back again

My hard-working husband, my very best friend

Yeah, I love you to infinity

Forever, Richard, just you and me
