Kristie

It started with our dogs just pulling on the line

Who knew that tangled leashes would intertwine your life and mine?

From the very first word, you were so easy to talk to

Now you're my absolute best friend, and I'm lucky I caught you

You've got a heart of gold and a spirit that shines

I'm so grateful to have you by my side.

Oh, Kristie, you're beautiful, inside and out

Fierce and protective, of that there's no doubt

You work so damn hard, but you still make the time

To be the funny, sweet friend that I'm so glad is mine

When the road gets tough and the wind starts to blow

Just remember you're stronger than you even know

And I'll always love you, wherever we go.

We're singing karaoke till they turn up the lights

Taking shots together on those wild weekend nights

Dancing to the rhythm, making up names for the crowd

With you sitting next to me, we're just laughing out loud

We don't need a reason to have a good time

As long as we're together, everything is just fine.

And when I pack my bags to head out of town

I know my sweet boy will never be let down

'Cause you treat him like royalty in the drive-thru lane

Buying McDonald's chicken nuggets just to spoil him again

You take care of the people and the pups that you love

You're a down-to-earth angel from somewhere above.
