Beverly

Beverly, I see you out in the sun

With worship songs playing, the day's just begun

Your hands in the soil, tending the earth

Watching the seeds as they spring into birth

You sing out a melody, quiet and sweet

Finding your purpose at the Savior's feet

You hold onto Jesus when shadows grow long

You hold onto the broken when everything's wrong

With a heart full of grace that will never give up

You pour out His love from an overflowing cup

So let Him restore you, let the striving cease

He makes you lie down in green pastures of peace

I've seen how you gather the ones who are frail

When the storms of this life leave a sorrowful trail

You sit in the hurting, you don't turn away

You point to the light at the breaking of day

Friend, you've been an anchor when my spirit was weak

Reflecting the gentle Redeemer we seek

You hold onto Jesus when shadows grow long

You hold onto the broken when everything's wrong

With a heart full of grace that will never give up

You pour out His love from an overflowing cup

So let Him restore you, let the striving cease

He makes you lie down in green pastures of peace

Even the gardener needs time to rest

The one who gives all must lean on His breast

Breathe in the worship, let go of the weight

The Good Shepherd meets you right here at the gate

You hold onto Jesus when shadows grow long

You hold onto the broken when everything's wrong

With a heart full of grace that will never give up

You pour out His love from an overflowing cup

So let Him restore you, let the striving cease

He makes you lie down in green pastures of peace

Beverly, rest in His green pastures of peace
