Colby

I still remember the very first day

They placed you right there in my hands

I made a promise to guide you along

And help you become a good man

Time has a way of just slipping on by

But that memory never gets old

You are my son, and I look at you now

And see a heart made of solid gold

So live life to the fullest, don't hold a thing back

May every dream that you have come true

I want you to know I'm incredibly proud

Of the wonderful man inside you

Take in the moments and don't have regrets

Whatever this crazy life brings

Colby, I love you with all of my heart

So go out and do amazing things

You're smart and you're funny, you light up the room

Outgoing wherever you go

You stand up so proud for the red, white, and blue

It's one of the best things I know

Your little brother looks up to you now

He sees the role model I see

And watching you love on Macanna so well

Is exactly how a husband should be

So live life to the fullest, don't hold a thing back

May every dream that you have come true

I want you to know I'm incredibly proud

Of the wonderful man inside you

Take in the moments and don't have regrets

Whatever this crazy life brings

Colby, I love you with all of my heart

So go out and do amazing things

From the boy in my arms on the day you were born

To the path that you walk on today

I'm thanking the Lord for the gift of my son

And the man you've become on the way

So live life to the fullest, don't hold a thing back

May every dream that you have come true

I want you to know I'm incredibly proud

Of the wonderful man inside you

Take in the moments and don't have regrets

Whatever this crazy life brings

Colby, I love you with all of my heart

So go out and do amazing things
