I wear my heart right on my sleeve for all to see

A nurturer is who I was always meant to be

I'm patient and I love to help somebody else heal

I still believe in love, I know that it's real

I'm a survivor, yeah, I walked through the fire

But I kept my faith and I lifted it higher

I've been through a lot, but I'm proud of my name

And I didn't let the struggle put out my flame

And I'm so glad I don't look like what I've been through

God is the only reason my spirit grew

I celebrate me, I'm beautiful inside and out

I'm still standing here, and I'm shining so bright

November twenty-twenty-one brought a heavy rain

I lost my mother, my best friend, I felt the pain

But she left me with a lifetime of wisdom to hold

I remember every story and the truths I was told

Now my children and my grandkids are the light of my days

I thank the Lord for them in so many ways

And I'm so glad I don't look like what I've been through

I made a choice to follow God, He changed my whole life
