MAMIE

Lord, I look at Mamie and I see Your light

Ninety years of walking by faith, not by sight

A heart so big, it has room for everyone

Reflecting the patience and kindness of the Son

She pours out her spirit, gentle and wise

With a deep love for family shining in her eyes

Thank You, God, for the love she gives away

Even when it's not returned, she loves them anyway

Only You could build a heart so wide and true

She loves all Your people just the way You do

One of Your chosen, a vessel of Your grace

I see Your reflection in my mother's face

Fourteen years I’ve had the honor by her side

Watching how she trusts You as her daily guide

Three years on a hospice bed, facing the unknown

But she kept her eyes upon Your heavenly throne

She firmly claimed her healing, she bowed her head to pray

Now she is off the hospice, You made a new way

Thank You, God, for the love she gives away

Even when it's not returned, she loves them anyway

Only You could build a heart so wide and true

She loves all Your people just the way You do

One of Your chosen, a vessel of Your grace

I see Your reflection in my mother's face

She is well-respected, committed to the call

Standing on Your promises, never letting them fall

A woman of prayer with a passion so real

Showing every soul how Your mercy can heal

Lord, we lift our hands for the miracle we've seen

Ninety years young, and she's leaning on her King

Thank You, God, for the love she gives away

Even when it's not returned, she loves them anyway

Only You could build a heart so wide and true

She loves all Your people just the way You do

One of Your chosen, a vessel of Your grace

Thank You, Lord, for Mamie, and her ninety years of grace
