Maranda

I still remember the sun on your face

The day that we met at the park

I didn't know it right then in that place

But you'd already captured my heart

I saw right away how your spirit was bright

And I knew I would love you the rest of my life

Oh, Maranda, you wear your heart on your sleeve

You care about others in all that you do

You give and expect nothing back, I believe

That heaven was smiling the day I found you

You're the best part of me, as the whole story goes

And I love you with all of my heart and my soul

From the day we got married and promised our lives

To the day we became foster parents and grew

I watched you become such a beautiful wife

Opening doors, letting miracles through

And I couldn't hold back the tears that I had

On the morning, Maranda, you made me a dad

Oh, Maranda, you wear your heart on your sleeve

You care about others in all that you do

You give and expect nothing back, I believe

That heaven was smiling the day I found you

You're the best part of me, as the whole story goes

And I love you with all of my heart and my soul

You never ask for the spotlight to shine

You just quietly love with your hands and your time

But I want to stand up and sing it out loud

I'm so lucky you're mine, and I'm so very proud

Oh, Maranda, you wear your heart on your sleeve

You care about others in all that you do

You give and expect nothing back, I believe

That heaven was smiling the day I found you

You're the best part of me, as the whole story goes

And I love you with all of my heart and my soul

Yeah, I love you with all of my heart and my soul
