Katie and Shelby

I never saw it coming, how our separate paths would cross

But looking at us now, I see the blessing in it all

Katie and Shelby, you opened up the door

And gave me the kind of friendship I was always hoping for

You're genuine and caring, with a heart that's made of gold

You brought me right inside and made me welcome in the fold

From the candles on the cake to the fireworks in the sky

You share your lives with me as the happy days go by

I never could've guessed how our worlds would intertwine

But I wouldn't trade a second of this unexpected life

You treat me like your own, and it fits right like a glove

Katie and Shelby, thank you for the love

When the kids are running wild and the party's in the yard

You always save a seat for me, you never make it hard

If I need a helping hand, I know exactly who to call

You're the ones who show up and will catch me if I fall

It's the loving things you do, it's the way you always care

Whenever we get together, you know that I'll be there

From the candles on the cake to the fireworks in the sky

You share your lives with me as the happy days go by

I never could've guessed how our worlds would intertwine

But I wouldn't trade a second of this unexpected life

You treat me like your own, and it fits right like a glove

Katie and Shelby, thank you for the love

Sometimes family isn't just the tree you're planted in

Sometimes it's the roots you grow with a couple of your friends

I'm so lucky that you let me share in everything

No, I wouldn't change our story for anything

From the candles on the cake to the fireworks in the sky

You share your lives with me as the happy days go by

I never could've guessed how our worlds would intertwine

But I wouldn't trade a second of this unexpected life

Yeah, you treat me like your family, and it fits right like a glove

Katie and Shelby, thank you for the love

Yeah, Katie and Shelby, thank you for the love
